Ecotech is able to supply a wide range of heat shrink tubing for use in the field for the joining and maintenance of telephone cables. The products of this family are supplied by the subsidiary Duratel.

The installation of the thermo-shrinking sheaths supplied by Ecotech is very simple and quick: all the necessary accessories are contained in a kit supplied with the product, therefore the necessary equipment is reduced to a common gas torch for shrinking the sheath. The change in color of the heat-sensitive pigmentation and the leakage of the adhesive on the sides indicates successful installation. The high shrinkage ratio makes the product versatile and of very general use: a few base diameters of the sheaths allow to cover a wide range of cable diameters.

The quality of the individual components is continuously checked and documented with severe mechanical, electrical, thermal and chemical tests and is guaranteed by the company Quality System certified according to the ISO 9001: 2000 standards.

In the case of branch joints, the heat shrink tubing must be used together with the relative kit with branch fork DURA-DRMZ. The “DRMZ” branch forks, thanks to the special thermoplastic adhesive placed on the central “finger”, allow to maintain the same characteristics of impermeability, resistance to corrosive agents of the soil and resistance to pressure that occur in straight joints even in the cable branches . Installation is quick and easy and requires no special equipment other than the normal gas torch to shrink the sheath.
