The anti-theft clamps have the same use as normal clamps, that is to hook the self-supporting telephone cable to the support rope; they differ from normal clamps due to the presence of a rigid clamp every 2.5 meters (ie the presence of a “special clamp” every 7 normal clamps).
The special clamp is made using a straight steel wire having a diameter of 2.5 mm instead of being made with a coil spring, moreover the hopper is welded on the two eyelets instead of having one side open and one folded like normal hoppers. This prevents the cable tie from being pulled out and the cable tearing: the result is that the cable ties “slide” on the support cable without opening, making it extremely difficult to recover the cable from the ground. The system therefore represents a valid deterrent to acts of vandalism or theft of the cable.
The installation is carried out in the same way as for normal cable ties.
The anti-theft clamps are available in two types: type 4B (for cables ø 30 – 36 mm) and type 5B (for cables ø 42 – 48 mm)
