German mechanical solution
Many features of this solution are similar to the Italian mechanical solution, although the dimensions of the strips are slightly larger:
- Up to 16 VDSL2 modules per strip (64 users)
- Modularity: 4 splitters (ETSI compliant) per module
- Easy connection: through IDC (Insulation Displacement Contacts)
- Flexibility: possibility to combine POTS-ISDN / VDSL2 modules in the same strip, with or without surge / surge protectors
- Plastic parts in self-extinguishing polycarbonate
- Each module can be replaced without rewiring the related POTS / ISDN and DSLAM cable ends. This allows for faster and error-free maintenance operations.
