Center Side xDSL Splitter
Duratel produces ADSL and VDSL splitters both for installation on the network side, in the control panel or in the cabinets, and for use on the user side. Duratel splitters comply with ETSI (TS 101952) and ITU-T (G.992, G.993) standards, with specific customer regulations and with the RoHS and WEEE European Directives. All filters have been certified by the customer laboratories and / or by the Ministry of Economic Development-Communications (ISCOM).
As a consequence of the rapid growth of xDSL connections, the number of interconnection connections in the operators’ exchanges has also significantly increased. Duratel’s modular xDSL splitter strips are intended for mounting on the switch, where they combine xDSL streams with POTS or ISDN services to user lines. Thanks to this location, the number of connections between the DSLAM and the MDF is halved, with the consequent significant saving of space in the interconnection ducts. The figure shows how, by installing the splitters in the switch, it is possible to halve the interconnections between the switch and DSLAM.
Duratel has developed four types of xDSL splitter strips for patch panel installation:
